The George Washington University
GW was one of the first universities to deploy its own branded online learning platform using Open edX. Offering both liberal arts and engineering courses, GW’s platform added features like ecommerce and badges long before Open edX offered them natively.
MIT Sloan School of Management
One of two founding members of edX, MIT has long been a leader in online education. As part of their MITx and MITProfessionalX platforms, MIT has developed dozens of online courses and in the process paved the way for the widespread adoption of the Open edX platform.
The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art
Long a pioneer in the fight to make education free and open to all, the Cooper Union recognized the potential of online learning to democratize education and has developed courses available on edX.org that anyone can audit for free.
